Eureka, CA is the arm pit of California. Economy must be bad but not a good place from what we saw. Up in the morning and out of here! Up the coast we thought until the wind just kept us all over the road. So at CA hwy 299 we turned East into Weaverville. Subway Sandwich take out had lunch up on Hwy 3 North at Lake Clair Engle. WOW do they need to get some rain! After lunch on the lake we found this nice quite bed & breakfast. Carrville Inn Bed & Breakfast.

Needless to say the place is a great change in pace and we will stay here two nights. Leaving Fri. morning June 13th see if we can get the old iron horse turned back to the barn. The other Shoemaker's Ron & Gloria were stuck in Seeley Lake, Montana with snow. Left there on Thur. 12th rode in 38 degree rain sleet & snow for most of the day! Do not want that weather so guess we will turn East from here maybe into Salt Lake then back to Windsor, Colorado.

Wow! Another set of great pictures but I thought that yall turned back East days ago!!! Just can't head back here to the barn can you!? Keep teasing us with ya purdy pictures and tales of fancy Bed & Breakfasts and all!!
